In 2003, Miacomet was expanded to 18 holes by architect Howard Maurer, making Miacomet Golf Course the island's only 18-Hole public facility. The original 9 holes were completely renovated and were opened in the Spring of 2007, the results have been fantastic and award winning. Miacomet Golf Course continues to serve both the year-round and seasonal communities of Nantucket as a practice, golf, and meeting facility. With a fully functional putting green and driving range, both experienced golfers and beginners alike can perfect their game before hitting the links. The course is complete with four tee options, challenging holes, and scenic island views. The restaurant and beverage cart provide patrons with delicious food, cold drinks and great company.

In 2012, the Nantucket Land Bank acquired the Old Sconset Golf Course, a 9-hole public course with a small clubhouse. Up until the late 19th century, the property was part of what was once known as Bloomingdale Farm. However, with its open fields and meadows, islanders and summer residents soon envisioned it as an ideal location for a golf course. The farmhouse was converted to a clubhouse and an 18-hole course was established in 1899. Since then, the course has been reduced to 9 holes, but has always remained open to the public, and therefore exists as one of the oldest public golf courses in the country. This property presents a unique opportunity to experience a part of Nantucket history while enjoying an old world golf experience with the family.
It is open to the public seven days a week, 8:00am-7:00pm through Columbus Day weekend. It is a walking-only course. Pull carts are available to rent. Club rentals are available on a limited basis renting both Men’s and Women’s right and left-handed.

His emphasis on your enjoyment and light tackle fishing created a loyal following that continues to grow. This success allows us to run 4 boats specifically designed for fishing around Nantucket. This is only possible thanks to an amazing crew that combines over a century of fishing on Nantucket and the same great enthusiasm for fishing and people that attract people to Tom himself.
